About
Annarie is interested in exploring the shape and forms of typical commonplace objects in relation to its historical and contemporary place in the domestic environment. Textures and patterns found in nature influence her work, as she often drawn from her love of gardening and flowers.
Using still life genre as a mode of visual inquiry, she aims to explore simplified and abstracted shapes, using clay as a drawing tool and referencing meaningful past events and experiences. She makes work for group and solo exhibitions and on commission.
